Diploma in General Agriculture & Animal Health (Veterinary)

Programme Overview

The Diploma in General Agriculture & Animal Health (Veterinary) is a three-year programme designed to equip students with the technical knowledge and practical competencies required for successful careers in agriculture, livestock production, and animal health services.

The programme combines classroom instruction with extensive hands-on training in crop husbandry, livestock management, animal health practices, and agricultural extension services. Students develop the skills needed to improve farm productivity, support animal welfare, and contribute to sustainable agricultural development.

Through practical fieldwork, demonstrations, and farm-based learning, students gain experience in crop cultivation, soil management, livestock production, disease prevention, and basic veterinary care. The programme also introduces learners to agribusiness principles and farm management techniques, enabling graduates to establish and manage successful agricultural enterprises. Graduates are prepared to work in both the public and private agricultural sectors or pursue further studies in agriculture, animal science, veterinary-related disciplines, and agribusiness.
